SUMMARY:Autumn Equinox 2023
DESCRIPTION:We will celebrate Autumn Equinox at the White Mountain Druid Sanctuary at Trout Lake Abbey. This will be a Hellenic Celebration of the Goddess Kore and Her Mother\, Demeter. \nSaturday\, September 23\, 2023\nGathering at 5:30 pm \n46 Stoller Road\nTrout Lake\, WA 98650\n(On Google maps search for Trout Lake Abbey) \nThis is a rite of balance and the second harvest as Autumn gets into full swing with the Earth growing colder. Our beautiful summer weather has begun to turn\, and winter is on its way. When Kore was abducted by Hades\, Her mother Demeter allowed all plant life to wither and die\, just as our winter is a time of quiet and death. But this is also a story of rebirth\, and the great cycle of life. \nWe will hold this rite outdoors in the stone circle. We will be honoring the Goddesses Demeter and Kore (later known as Persephone) at this rite. Appropriate offerings include produce from your garden\, wine\, pomegranates\, barley products\, beer\, oil\, etc. As always\, praise offerings of song\, poetry\, dance\, etc. are always welcome. \nThere will be a potluck following the ritual\, held in the main house. \nWe look forward to seeing you here on Saturday the 23rd!

And we will honor the Goddess Sulis\, Lady of the Sun and heated waters of the Earth. \nWe will be placing our prayers in the Wicker Man. The Man will be burned in the rite\, sending our prayers and entreaties up into the heavens. Inside the Man are a number of blank pieces of paper. Decide what you want to say or pray and then you will be given a chance to magically send your prayer into one of the blank papers. \nIf you wish to also make offerings at home\, appropriate offerings for both Taranis and Sulis include small images of wheels and solar chariots\, alcoholic drinks (such as whiskey\, wine\, beer\, mead\, or cider)\, and food. Flowers from your garden might also be an appropriate offering for Sulis. People will be given a chance to speak during the Praise Offerings section of the rite. \nWe look forward to seeing you on Sunday\, June 28!

This will be an Irish pantheon rite. Bíodh sé amhlaidh! \nTrout Lake Abbey\n46 Stoller Road\nTrout Lake\, WA 98650 \n509-395-2030 \nThis is the rite of the Sovereignty of Lugh Samildanach. He manages this through the good offices of the Goddess of Sovereignty here in Trout Lake\, the Lady of the White Salmon. This is also a rite of the harvest as our crops begin to ripen and the fruits of our labors are available to us all. \nWe will hold this rite outdoors in the stone circle.  We will be honoring the God Lugh Samildanach and the Lady of the White Salmon (the goddess of Trout Lake Valley)\, at this rite. Appropriate offerings include first fruits from your garden\, produce\, whiskey\, beer\, butter or oil\, precious metal or stones\, etc..  As always\, praise offerings of song\, poetry\, dance\, etc. are always welcome. \nThe weather report\, as of now\, is for sunny skies on Saturday with a high of 81\, a 0% chance of rain\, and winds at 11 mph (but they should drop by sunset). Bring a hat (or parasol)\, if you have one\, and don’t forget the sunscreen! The sun will still be up when we process to the Stone Circle. Once the sun sets\, however\, it can get chilly\, so be sure to layer. \nThere will be a potluck following the ritual\, held in the main house. \nWe look forward to seeing you here on Saturday\, August 4!

SUMMARY:Summer Solstice Rite
DESCRIPTION:We will be honoring the God Taranis\, Lord of Thunder and Storms\, to ask for a forest-fire free summer. And we will honor the Goddess Sulis\, Lady of the Sun and heated waters of the Earth. \nWe will also give everyone the opportunity to write prayers and requests for the Gods to be placed in the Wicker Man. The Man will be burned in the rite\, sending our prayers and entreaties up into the heavens. \nAppropriate offerings for both Taranis and Sulis include small images of wheels and solar chariots\, alcoholic drinks (such as whiskey\, wine\, beer\, mead\, or cider)\, and food. Sulis may also appreciate flowers from your garden. Offerings of song\, dance\, or poetry that relate to our God and Goddess are always welcome. \nAs usual for this Solstice\, we will be holding the potluck first\, before the ritual. Potluck is at 6:30 pm\, and the ritual will start at 8:00 pm.
