SUMMARY:Spring Equinox Ritual in the Sanctuary
DESCRIPTION:Because of the covid-19 pandemic and the need for folks to be safe\, this ritual has been CANCELLED. Keep safe\, everyone! \nWe will be celebrating Spring Equinox at Trout Lake Abbey on Saturday\, March 14 2020\, at 6 pm. This will be a Hellenic (ancient Greek) pantheon rite. Esto! \nTrout Lake Abbey\n46 Stoller Road\nTrout Lake\, WA 98650 \n509-637-5909 \nThis is the rite when the days and nights are of equal length\, and with the return of Persephone\, Spring returns to the land. \nWe will be honoring the ancient Greek deities Demeter and Persephone. Appropriate offerings for Demeter include tubers\, whiskey\, grain\, food\, oil or butter. Offerings for Persephone include flowers\, whiskey\, butter\, food\, songs or poetry. As usual\, praise offerings are always welcome. \nWe will hold this rite indoors in the Sanctuary. The room is heated but do dress warmly for the procession. Do check the weather beforehand since it can be very changeable this time of year. \nThere will be a potluck following the ritual\, held in the Fireside Room in the main house. \nWe look forward to seeing you here on Saturday\, 23 March!
