We will be celebrating Lughnasadh at the White Mountain Druid Sanctary at Trout Lake Abbey on Saturday, August 4, 2018, with the pre-ritual briefing starting at 7:30 pm. This will be an Irish pantheon rite. Bíodh sé amhlaidh!

This is the rite of the Sovereignty of Lugh Samildanach. He manages this through the good offices of the Goddess of Sovereignty here in Trout Lake, the Lady of the White Salmon. This is also a rite of the harvest as our crops begin to ripen and the fruits of our labors are available to us all.

We will hold this rite outdoors in the stone circle.  We will be honoring the God Lugh Samildanach and the Lady of the White Salmon (the goddess of Trout Lake Valley), at this rite. Appropriate offerings include first fruits from your garden, produce, whiskey, beer, butter or oil, precious metal or stones, etc..  As always, praise offerings of song, poetry, dance, etc. are always welcome.

The weather report, as of now, is for sunny skies on Saturday with a high of 81, a 0% chance of rain, and winds at 11 mph (but they should drop by sunset). Bring a hat (or parasol), if you have one, and don’t forget the sunscreen! The sun will still be up when we process to the Stone Circle. Once the sun sets, however, it can get chilly, so be sure to layer.

There will be a potluck following the ritual, held in the main house.

We look forward to seeing you here on Saturday, August 4!
