We will not be holding a public rite for the Equinox this year, thanks to Covid-19, but you may watch a video of this ritual on YouTube at: https://youtu.be/wxa4Uurcbis
We will be celebrating Calan Haf at Trout Lake Abbey on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 5:30 pm. We are starting early so that we may dance the Maypole in the light. This will be a Welsh pantheon rite. Bydded Felly! This is the rite of the beginnings of summer, of fertility, and of green and growing things. It is said that in medieval days, folks would go out into the woods and lay with whomever they came across. Welcome to the lusty month of May!
We will be celebrating the Feast of the Summer Solstice in the Stone Circle here at the White Mountain Druid Sanctuary at Trout Lake Abbey on Saturday, June 24, 2023 beginning with our potluck at 6:30 pm with the ritual beginning at 8pm. Sunset isn't until 9pm so this will let us burn the Wicker Man in twilight.
We will be celebrating Lughnasadh at the White Mountain Druid Sanctary at Trout Lake Abbey on Saturday, July 29, 2023. This will be an Irish pantheon rite. Bíodh sé amhlaidh! This is the rite of the Sovereignty of Lugh Samildanach. He manages this through the good offices of the Goddess of Sovereignty here in Trout Lake, the Lady of the White Salmon. This is also a rite of the harvest as our crops begin to ripen and the fruits of our labors are available to us all.
Shortly after the morning meditation/metta service (which we highly recommend) please stay to volunteer as a group to do some light grounds cleanup–weeding, planting, trimming, etc.
